Aims:
The Kapiti Herb Society was formed in 1979 bringing people together who are interested in the growth and use of herbs.

Objectives:
to study all aspects of herbs
to promote to a wider audience the use and value of growing herbs
to publish articles, pamphlets and booklets on herbs
to exchange information with groups having similar interests
Meetings:
The society holds meetings on the second Tuesday of each month from February to December commencing at 10 am
General Business is presented and discussed
An activity and/or speaker is presented
Each month one herb is chosen to be studied and discussed - presented by a Club Member
The meetings have a sales table offering herbs, plants and herbal products
Members are able to borrow from the library a wide selection of books on herbs and related subjects
A Raffle drawn every month
Summary review of publications and news related to herbs
Mid meeting break including herbal tea and light refreshment in keeping with the theme of the meeting
Everyone is very welcome to come along and join us, the first visit is free and casual members
can attend meetings for a small donation.
Kapiti Herb Society is a member of the Herb Federation of New Zealand.

Being included in other herb society functions.
Visiting related businesses, gardens, and garden centres.
Newsletter:
All members receive a quarterly online newsletter called 'The Bay Tree'.
The editorial team welcomes contributions from members to make "The Bay Tree", a more accurate reflection of the interests of members and herbal matters.
Subscriptions:
$25 single member, $35 double for the year 2024, and are renewable in July of each year.
